Ahhh, Honey’s. I was welcomed there at 2am once. A good waitress who proceeded to tell us that she was living on her friend’s couch while straightening her life out. My friend, without batting an eye said, “so I’ll just have the hashbrowns then.”

In my 9 years living in Durham, I’m not entirely sure I ever went into Honey’s while sober.

    To add:

I don’t think that is atypical.

Ah, Honey’s…wow, so many memories since I first went there 13 years ago…Zing on every table…menu misspellings…menu item “Egg”…addition of famous potato casserole to the hungry man breakfast…addition of the rotating ad machine in the dining room…the different “corners” on the menu–“Sandwich Corner”, “Pancake and Waffle Corner”, etc….the love-o-meter…the Lean Queen sandwich (yum!)…Grandma and her bee capsules…

I wonder if bloggers (and other assholes) are more nightowly than the general population?

Up until 5:15 this morning, but not at Honey’s. I’ve got a cable modem, baby.

  7. I definitely get insomnia a lot but, you know, that’s what the booze is for.

  8. KFC says:

Would that we still had the OLD Pan-Pan. They’d never give in to the dangerous call of the Wi-Fi. (The new Pan-Pan? Not at’all the same beast by any means.)
